Retail & Social Media Assistant Job Description:

 We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Retail & Social Media Assistant to join our team at Pearl and Grace. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their shopping needs, managing the store's inventory, and promoting the boutique's products through social media platforms.

 

This role will be a full-time role (Monday-Friday)

 

Key responsibilities of the position include:

 

- Assisting customers with finding and trying on clothing items

- Processing sales transactions and handling cash transactions

- Maintaining a tidy and organised store environment

- Managing inventory and restocking merchandise

- Develop and Implement social media strategies to drive brand awareness and sales

- Creating engaging content for all social media channels regarding new arrivals, promotions, and events

 

Essential:

 

- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written, to interact with customers and provide exceptional customer service.

- Strong interpersonal skills, to build relationships with customers and assist them with their needs.

- Knowledge of fashion trends and styling techniques, to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

- Strong organisational skills, to effectively manage store operations, including restocking merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and processing shipments.

- Ability to work in a face paced work environment and as part of a small team

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some weekends (usually every few weekends), to accommodate the needs of the store and its customers.

-Basic computer skills, to accurately process transactions and manage customer information.

- A passion for fashion and a positive attitude, to create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for customers.

 

Desirable:

 

- Experience in social media management, including creating content, scheduling posts, and analysing engagement metrics to increase brand awareness and drive sales.

- Proficiency with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook to effectively promote the store’s products and engage with customers online.

5- A background in retail sales, with experience in merchandising, inventory management, and handling transactions at the point of sale.

-experience with a POS system preferably Shopify

 

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail experience and knowledge of social media marketing are preferred.
